What to unlock in Red Storm Event

Because of many event prizes in the event shop, new players can't decide what to unlock. So this small guide to unlock a better unit for you.

The more important items for a player, depends on the following few variables.
1. Level of the Player
2. Whether he/she is a coiner or free player.
3. What kind of units already unlocked and level of those.
4. How much time spend on the game.
5. How much eXP remains.

So as you see we can't give a generalized list of units to unlock without knowing the above information. But don't worry the I'll try to arrange a list by considering the more important items for a free player.

Before that you might like know there are few strategies to be considered when buying an event prize.

Strategy 1: Give the priority for offensive event prizes than defensive items from players. ( That means except the items really important to defend from event waves). These days no one can't defend when he is offline as Kixeye made the bases defenseless from totally different units such as level 5 Peacekeepers, Spectre, Crusader+Vipor, and new Titan!. So no point to spend time to defend the base.

Strategy 2: Buy the prizes which are upgrading in different buildings. So you can upgrade all of those items at once.

Strategy3: Think about the long term benefits than short term. For example if you are in level 25, the "Enforcer" is a cool item to smash the low level bases, but it is useless against the level 5 platforms and + level 6 turrets.

Strategy 4: Give the priority when an item on sale. Kixeye occasionally put items on sale so if you buy those sale items you could save much eXP and buy more.

Ok, then here is the list of more important event prizes, in ascending order.

1. Elite Rifle Man. :- This is the most important and all round unit every player should unlock at the first. 3 of 150 ERM platoons really helped me  to easily destroy the level 72+ Fortresses, full with Plasma Turrets + Watch Towers + Drone Silos + Hercules.

2. Hellstrom :- To easily collect Oil and Metal.

3. Hellfire and Elite Hellfire :- With level maxed Elite Hellfire and Hellstorm, any kind of Giant Thorium Deposit can be taken. (NB: need high armor unit such as Colossus or Mega Tank, to bait the sniper fire)

4. Elite Mega Tank :- To attack against player bases.

5. Warhead Launcher :- Buy this only if you have level 10+ Elite Mega Tank. Unless you may not invest to this as Kixeye will introduce more strong components for the Mega Tanks in the upcoming events.

6. Valkyrie and Elite Valkyrie :- To defend against the event waves.

7. Drone Silo :- This is so valuable to defend against the event waves when it full with customized wing drones with shock and napalm effect.

8. Stinger :- Mainly used in Watch Towers. Good to defend from unskilled Spectre pilots as Stinger missiles do more damage to the Spectre than bullets. But in events better to use ERM in WTs.

9. Elite Humvee :- Those who don't have the Hover Tanks, this is the best solution to defend against the Titan in events. You may also have a look at this article, "How to kill Titan" .

10. Plasma Turret :- This is best to kill invading heavy Tanks.

11. Laser Tank + Laser Tank Schematics :- Useful to keep one custom Laser Tank, when using 6 Hellfires as the Laser Tank could kill Spawning mortar teams before they attack to HF Tanks.

12. Gladiator and Elite Gladiator :- This is not important but very useful to easily kill Hercules. And as this is using the Academy for upgrading, your Tech Center will not get a trouble from this.

13. Attack Dog :- Good to find mines. As this is cheaper as 1500 eXP most players unlock this at their fist event.

Other items are not much useful so after buy the above prizes you could spend your remaining eXP as you wish.

The above list will be changed when the new units and schematics introduced in the future events and when the current items removed.
